Go to channel bit off-famous Canal Street in Manchester, near Piccadilly. You need the street bars last Taurus and head cross (oo-er missus). It is dominated by the Malmaison Hotel. If they have no chance to go on the road that ends near the train station.
I have been there for years and not as a tourist, but has always been known in MCR famous gay scene.
